Why do the results for the Top Cafes 2017 differ from the Top Cafes rankings?

The difference between the Top Cafes 2017 rankings for a city and the daily Top Cafes rankings is due to the 2017 rankings only including reviews between 1 January 2017 and Midnight 30 December 2017 where as the Top Cafes are an 'all time' score.
